I've had jackrabbit that was crockpotted until the meat shredded easily and then added to taco fillings. It was good; but there are always some folks who don't like certain foods.

Pete's suggestion is likely OK, but the length of spring needed may vary with overall length of the magazine and "strength" of the spring. Wouldn't hurt to approach this project carefully; it's probably hard to lengthen a too-short spring !!
