Excellent accuracy in both my T-C Contender Carbine and my Ruger GP-100 in .357. Killed a nice boar (220# with the blood and guts out) last fall in Monterey County, CA with the carbine. Made TWO big holes with one shot! Nest time I'm trying the GP.

I also remember the B-36. By the time they got from the SAC bases in Central California to our ranch 'way up north, they were so high you could only see the contrail. We in CA don't YET have recluses, but now we have both black and brown widow spiders. The brown ones are new. People were blaming our neighbors to the south for them until some arachnid specialist did DNA tests on them and concluded that they originated in North Africa....

I've even made .410 brass cases (short, for buckshot and light rat loads) out of .30-06. Takes some serious elbow grease to form the rims on for .444 or .410 out of the rimless '06 case. (And some serious lube, too.). You need the big RCBS press.

I just got a nice Win 9422M rimfire lever rifle and have had problems finding much about its design history. Anybody know who designed it?

Side ejection reminds me more of a Marlin than a Winchester, but the locking system is unlike any Marlin I've ever examined. Is it like some other Winchester's?

I've used 140 and 150 gr. Barnes in my .308 on pigs and Blacktail deer and had no problems. Must say that these were all short distance shots, so accuracy wasn't an issue. The "Hog Hammer" factory rounds shoot around 1 1/4" three shot groups from a rest in my .308x12 guage combination...
