Nice rifles. I bought mine about 3-4 years ago at a show in southern Ohio. I think I paid all of $250 for it.
It's just about the best shooting .30-30 I've had.

Picture is a little washed out. I think I need to go take some new ones. :D

My chiro doctor traded for one several years ago and I am still trying to trade him out of it,even if it is a Marlin. That is one sweet little 30-30.

I bought mine from a forum member several years ago. I thought it was a steal at $250. I have since made a new walnut forend, converted it from barrel band to forend cap, replaced the buttstock with walnut, and rechambered it to 30-30 AI. It is a little finicky about what it likes to shoot real accurately, but the loads it likes could easily be bolt gun groups. Best load is a 150 gr. Speer with a full case of RL15 for 2500 fps. It's a lightweight, handy little rifle with pretty good punch.

Pretty sure that they were .30-30 only.
Though a .35 Remington would have been sweet.

Took some better photos this afternoon.

I have a real weakness for short barreled 2/3rd mag tubes.

.450 Marlin Scout on top, 336D .35 Rem ( Davidsons special edition)
and my 30TK in .30-30. New sights and refinished birch stocks.
All three are amazingly accurate and definite keepers!
So far I've only taken game with the .450 Marlin. That is something to see!
Hits like Thor's Hammer!

I was going to clean up all the walnut tree leaves but thought it added a little to the photo. :D

don't do that...the pic is great, leaves adds allot too....never seen the 30TK, but own a Glenfield 30A, and have seen a Glenfield 30 (another 1/2 tube magazine in 30-30)...i really like Marlin second tier or contract rifles that were made for K-Mart, Sears, Western Auto, Montgomery Wards to name a few...they seem to have features and a certain simplicity that i like, beech-wood, one barrel band, no ramped or hooded front sight, pre-cross bolt safety...just a working man's levergun...i did see a 30A in 35 Remington on gunbroker.com about two months ago... :)

Made for K-Mart, from '89 to '91 in 30-30 only. Came with camouflage nylon sling. I had one. Always reminded me of something carried by banana republic gendarmerie...

According to Deadwood Dick, those TK's. are rare. There's already a few here who have them.

I always did like the look of the 3/4 mag tube.

That video of the kid shooting the water jug close up was neat. :D ----6

Up close like that the 30-30 has enough power to penetrate plastic & water
to make a small splash :P

I just bought one on gunbroker last week and I am carrying it this week on an elk hunt in Wyoming. I put a scout scope on it. I'll post pics of it when I get back. Very accurate. I only got to shoot some old factory Corelokts and they grouped very tight at 100 yards.
