Upgrade - This week most likely in the 9-5 window

Post by David »

I can't say exactly when I can do this unless someone screams I'm just going to do it when I can work in into my normal work schedule and keep and eye on the progress. Due to the size of the database this might take a while. I will try to bring it back as fast as possible so it might not look exactly the same but I can twiddle with that stuff while it's up.

It may be ugly, but the backend is working better now. THANK YOU!!!!! Ditching spammers used to involve a crash with each batch of 50. This time I was able to do a couple hundred at a time in less time than the 50 would take and smooth as silk. THANK YOU!!!!!!

I'm hoping the "I'm not a robot" for registrations will help a lot....
I didn't look if we need (or want) to flip anything else yet.

Well, so far (the last time I looked) there have been no new registrations - as opposed to a couple dozen or more fraudulent registrations each day. That is a good thing! :)

I see a fair number now but they all look to be valid, I'm not sure the process of how you do this now but I wouldn't want to activate them without notifying them. I still "approve" first post which notify's them vs having to activate them and manually send them email? Maybe time to switch?

I don't know if I'm coming or going these days so haven't paid a lot of attention. Once burned, twice shy.

While it takes some getting used to, it is definitely an improvement.
Pictures are much easier to post, especially from a mobile device. :D :D :D :D

I can't remember the exact name of what they call all of it but it's all aware now, meaning it understands the size of your screen or if it's mobil and will actually do this even on photo's as well as turn options into pulldown's etc automatically.
