camping

Post by rossim92 »

I am heading to North Creek, wv to go camping with my buddies, Anybody ever been there? Any experience with bears and such. We each are pitching our own tent, right now three positives and two maybes for the trip are coming. Good place t0 party and sing to the trees. My buddy is only bringing his shotgun, No on the handguns and rifles, don't need any trouble with the wardens and cops. Non of us are ccw permit.

What is the law on camping with a shotgun? I can understand game wardens being upity about rifles and handguns but why not shotguns?
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

.

Several years ago, on a shirt-tail trip with his friends, my Son took a nice black bear somewhere in that area, remarking the area was steep, but wonderful to hunt, with abundant game.

IIRC, he went back for 2 or 3 years in a row, then shifted his bear hunting to Canada.

You might check to be sure but IIRC WV allows CCW without a permit now. Not sure if that's for out of state folks or not. Call the State Police to be sure.

In reference to my dad's post, we hunted up there several years ago, and in order to carry a handgun to hunt with you also had to purchase a handgun permit with your hunting license. May be able to purchase one and be good, but like he said call local LE to be sure.

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.
