I'm going in tomorrow for a new knee and I'd appreciate your prayers.

Thanks, Dan

Prayers up.

Use Comfrey (aka Boneset and Knitbone). I don't have any to send you as it has not yet sprung back from winter.

Dried might do fine for poultice:

I would rehydrate with a little water, apply liberally around knee and wrap with Saran Wrap for a few hours a day. I would probably add a bit of dmso.

This is an ok set of articles

Piece o' cake, Dan. Got a couple of those about two years ago. There are a couple of things my surgeon didn't mention (I don't think he knows or cares): first the pain pills you'll use for a couple of weeks or so will give you almost terminal constipation if you don't keep after it with stool softener and laxative; and second you will be walking almost immediately and in a few weeks will be taking some pretty good walks, but it takes a full year to get the knee back to full strength for climbing stairs/ladders/hills and such. I was kinda' disappointed in my new knees for my first hunting season (about 6 months after the replacement) but by this year they are going strong.
