PH killed in Zimbabwe

Post by piller »

Scott van Zyl, a Professional Hunter in South Africa and Zimbabwe was recently killed by crocodiles in Zimbabwe. He leaves behind a wife and 2 children. If you wish, you can donate to his family through the Dallas Safari Club, I think the donations are tax deductible. I could be wrong. Scott was a friend of Chris Troskie.
Please send your prayers for his family.

Gunnymack, I was looking for need about him. I saw a bunch of liberal news sites saying horrible and stupid things. The people posting comments were, in my opinion, mentally ill. They should have to be placed on a riverbank in Africa and told to show their love and nonviolence to the wildlife. To say that a man who has earned a license as a PH in South Africa and Zimbabwe is a coward or is making up for other shortcomings is unbelievably idiotic. I would love to see the trolls try their love and magic mushrooms approach on a wild predator.

Besides snakes---any darn kind--- an croc is one animal I would have the greatest joy in planting a bullet into.

A tragic loss of a man much respected. Prayers for his family.

He was a professional hunter and one would assume he knew the hazards of his trade in the environment that he chose to work in.

The lesson I get from this sad event is an old one, and that is that there is every possibility that a momentary lapse or letting one's guard down in a dangerous environment can end badly, and it can happen to people who know what they are doing as well as to any one else.

Again, prayers for his family.

:(
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
