Model 71 Winchester

Just in case anyone is interested ..

I stopped in at National Pawn in Georgetown, Texas this morning. They have a Model 71 Winchester for sale. Deluxe Model with forend cap, receiver sight etc. $1400.00

Yes 71's are for drooling for sure. I have one made in the early 50's, it's like new,
has a great peep sight. Going to take it moose hunting this fall. People love
looking at it because so few people have ever seen one. I paid 1,300.00 for it
at Cabela's, one of the best buys I have ever made. It is like new, and also a
delux. Wished I could post a pic, but I have never got that worked out for this
websight. I post pics on everything else, but can't get it one this sight. I think
in the old days, in Canada and Alaska many large bears were taken with the
348. Of course they replaced the 1886.
