RIP Roger Moore (aka "Bond... James Bond")
Never did the lyrics of "Live And Let Die" mean so much to me...
That was one of my favorite movies when growing up -- was it the boat chase or all the Bond babes???
I think both maybe...
And now, I've just read that Sir Roger Moore has passed on.
RIP Mr. Bond...
I know he had many more roles than this, including a long run as "The Saint", but 007 is the role I remember him most by...

He was the most British of the Bonds. Back when I was a kid watching "The Saint," I developed a hankering for Volvo P1800 that I have never managed to shake.

That is sad, I always liked the guy, may he rest in peace.
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

"The Saint" was one of the first shows I saw on color TV! I always liked Roger Moore, he seemed like a class act all the way.

Didn't realize he was that old.

He had a sense of humor which shone through no matter what the role he was playing. He and Sean Connery were Bond. The rest were not even close.

He had that dry Brit humor. Unfortunately, he used it to ruin James Bond for several years.
I liked him in "The Saint", but I did not care for him at all in the role of James Bond. I saw him more as a comedian than an action-hero.
I've heard that the Brits have an expression that originated from Sir Roger's many rendezvous with his lady friends. They were said to have gotten "A good Rogering". Now that's a tribute.
In any case, I enjoyed some of his work.
May he rest in peace.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

For me he was The Saint. Which I always liked better than the Bond movies anyway. (By far.)
((The Bond books were always better than the movies, more serious, no stupid gadgets, and Bond of the books was more ruthless, cruel even. Because of those books I always wanted a Walther PPK.))

Contrary to what 'reviewers' say, I think he was the BEST "Bond" of them all.

Over at gunsamerica.com there's an article where he states that he hates guns… He loved using them to make his fortune.

Since Powers Booth and Roger Moore bought the farm, I wonder who's gonna be next. Jane Fonda, maybe?
