Funeral notice

Post by PPpastordon »

Howard Kenneth "Kenny" Wilson, Jr. passed from this life to an eternal life with God on August 27, 2008. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetary on September 4, 2008. (Directions are bleow.) A time of gathering, greeting and fellowship will be held after the services. (Directions for those who desire to attend the gathering will be given after the service.)
The family has requested that instead of flowers, a memorial gift be given to:
Jason Fishburn Fund
Police Officer's Credit Union
1502 E. Washington St.
Indianapolis, IN 46201
Kenny is survived by a sister, Susan (Ray) Nash of Lambsburg, VA and a brother, Rev. Donald (Barbara) Wilson of Crawfordsville, IN.

Directions: From Hwy. 52, go East, past mile marker 207, and take first turn to the right. I have not approached the church from the East, but it would be the first turn to the left after mile marker 208 (I pray that marker is not missing).

Jason Fishburn: Kenny suffered a severe brain injury in 1959 as a result of one of the all too many auto - motorcycle accidents, He was the motorcycle rider. Jason is a young police officer in Indianapolis who was shot in the head by a fleeing felon who was fleeing a warrant for murder.
We do not know Jason or his family personally. We do know the prejudice faced by many who have received serious brain injuries. We also know that many members of the local police force where my brother lived most of his life (not indianapolis) became "guardian angles" for him. Continued prayers for Jason and his family are always coveted and appreciated. Jason's father, also a police officer, has publically asked for prayers several times.

Grace and Peace,

Very sorry to hear. Prayers are up for the family.

To all who have responded and all who have read:
Thanks to each of you. Sorry it took so long to get back on line, but time has been a few hours short each day, it seems. Hope to be able to return to some regular posting soon.

I've been gone, out of town... Prayers said for the family.
Sincerely,
