Winchester Levergun 2009 Calender Finally Finished (photos)
My sister-in-law, in the USA, just received a sample of the Winchester levergun calendar that I made up on the web. I gave her a call and asked her to go through it to see if all the photos were sharp and the calendar was up to snuff. She said it was really nice and it looks like a good quality printing job. It looks like it is finally ready in case anyone wants a copy. If you want to get one, you can order one here http://www.cafepress.com/KirkD . The price is $18.99 plus shipping. Shipping is $5 for the first calendar, and less than that if more than one is ordered. The web company does everything, including printing and shipping. The one I ordered was shipped within a few days. Depending upon what state you are in, you might be charged tax.
In the meantime, here is a look at the entire calendar, including cover. Each photo has a caption underneath that states the Model, caliber, type, and year of manufacture. ....

Thanks for those kind words, fellows. I really enjoyed taking those pictures. Of course, shooting those old guns was even more fun!

I'd love a old Marlin calendar, but I don't have any. Looks like Marlinman will have to dust off his camera for next year and get us a real nice Marlin calendar.

Chris, I think it is. I believe the postage is figured out at the checkout stage. Glad you like itAussie Chris wrote:Gday there KirkD. Wow, what a great calender! Is Australia an option for postage?
On a related note. Has anyone received their calendar yet and had a chance to look through it? I still have not seen one in real life. My sister-in-law thought the one she received was excellent, but I want to make sure that all of them are good, since they are not all printed together but as they are ordered. So if anyone notices anything that is a little off or needs correcting I'd like to know about it.
The monthly photos on the first page of this post are the actual ones uploaded to the printers, so they should look exactly like the ones here, except larger, of course. They should be sharp, good color and properly centered. The only exception will be the cover photo, which on the actual calendar, has my name in the lower right hand corner.

Great work -- worth every penny.

That's good to hear, fellows. My sister-in-law still has the one I ordered so I have not got my hands on mine yet. I've no previous experience with the company that makes these calendars, so it's good to hear that the calendar seems to have turned out nice. If everything turns out okay, I'm going to do another one for 2010 that has as its theme Old Sixguns and Rifles.

Shipping to Australia is possible. It lists international as $7.00 (US dollars of course - how's that compare to the Aussie dollar now?) Sales tax charged to shipments in CA, KY, NV or WA. No sales tax to Colombia, but that international shipping's bad enough as is... I'll have to cogitate on it a bit...

Glad you liked it, Last Spike. If anyone gets a defective calendar, please let me know so I can make things right. I'm not used to having a company do stuff for me and send it out all over the place. If they do alright, then I'll use them again next year.

Can anyone tell me what the actual cost is for the calender and the shipping to the U.S. ? When I pull up the page it list it as 48.00 dollars. That looks like alot of shipping for a $20.00 item.

It depends on what shipping option you choose. Also, make sure you've only picked one (unless, of course, you wanted more than one)JerryB wrote:Can anyone tell me what the actual cost is for the calender and the shipping to the U.S. ? Here's the info off the shipping page:
Proceed to checkout to select shipping method.
Economy $ 5.00
Standard $ 7.00
Premium $13.00
1 Day $20.00
Canada $ 6.00
International $ 7.00
Does not include tax (if applicable)
No sales tax when shipping outside CA, KY, NV or WA

Re: Winchester Levergun 2009 Calender Finally Finished (photos)
By gum, $48 is a wee tad high for shipping, Jerry. The actual calendar at http://www.cafepress.com/KirkD should be $18.99 and the shipping is as AmBraCol mentioned. The only thing to add is that the shipping depends upon how many calendars a person ordered. For example, if one ordered 10 calendars, the total shipping within the USA using the economy option is $10.60 (or just over $1.00 per calendar on an order of 10 calendars). If you are getting $48 for shipping, something has gone terribly wrong with your shopping cart. Check the box that says how many calendars you are ordering and make sure it just says '1' (or whatever the correct number is). Then make sure the economy option is chosen for the cheapest shipping within the USA ($5). If a fellow lives in CA, KY, NV or WA, then the state sales tax will also be added.JerryB wrote:Can anyone tell me what the actual cost is for the calender and the shipping to the U.S. ? Re: Winchester Levergun 2009 Calender Finally Finished (photos)
Mine arrived a couple weeks ago. Of course, the photos are breathtaking. The calendar itself is probably the finest constructed one I've seen. Heavy card stock for each of the pages. The cover is even heavier, and it came packaged in a padded envelope with a really thick, hard cardboard piece to keep it from being bent or folded. This is well worth the money, and will be one's pride and joy of their reloading area or office!!!
