Stock cut and thin pad added, butt stock had through bolt installed and bedded, fore arm bedded, XS sights added, threaded brass inserts in stock for three spare apparatus,
slick action job, plug safety hole, and other stuff.

Looks good. I got my 45-70 which was a raffle rifle last December a couple weeks ago from him. Did a really nice job on it. It is a guide gun configuration with the enlarged loop lever. Did the NP3 treatment on internal parts, same sights, recoil reducer in the stock plus a nice thick recoil pad and removal of the push button safety. If I had a camera and good computer would like to post pictures of it for all those helped bring it about. Well someday it may happen. I am right proud of mine as well. ATB

That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error.

Mic knows his way around a Marlin lever gun.
I have an 18" 44Mag that he did a few things to a few years ago. It stays close by.
If you haven't seen his article in last months GUNS you need to pick it up.
How about a Marlin Lever rifle in 510?

:D Tom, that's a great looking levergun. Was it a straight grip before or did Mic do it for you? I've been tossin' the idea around to do my .35 Marlin that way. I prefer straight stocks and peeps. I hope it makes plenty o'venison for ya'. Thanks, Tom

Good Deal. Mic does great work. We have done many projects together. You are fortunate to have a sample of his work. He is one of the last of the true Renaissance men. Best Wishes. 1886.

Cementhead,
The stock was straight from the start.
Mic is truly a fine man. Spend a week with him or ride a couple hundred miles with him and you will be treated to more information than you can process.

What do you do with the three little brass cap things in the buttstock?

Not to steal T.R.'s thread but they are replacement apertures of differing sizes. This way they are handy and always with you. Mic came up with this handy idea years ago. Best Wishes, 1886.
