OT - Prayer request for family and self

Post by Rexster »

Being the stoic type, I generally don't ask for things for myself, but I am about to make an appointment to check out some things that may be stress-induced, but might be serious, and my wife has already had an ultrasound, followed by a biopsy, and has to go in soon for further biopsy which will require surgery to conduct. She is more stoic than I am, and I don't think she is telling me everything, but she has a large "mass," and is working with her supervisors to burn 800 hours of accumulated leave under the provisions of the FMLA. Moreover, I can tell, reading between the lines, that she is scared, and she is the opposite of a hypochondriac. FWIW, she is an M.D., though she works as a forensic investigator for the M.E., not as a doctor.

BTW, if any of y'all know her, please don't mention that you saw this. She is very private about her health.

I am generally a very private person, too, but have eventually found that it certainly doesn't hurt to ask for help in a time of great need. This sure seems like one to me. Sincere prayers for the best possible outcome offered for you and your wife!

Please let us know if we can do anything more for you,

Prayers up.

I'd urge those others out there who may dislike the health system (I share your feelings) to hold their nose and get a good, thorough physical each year. So much can be fixed so easily if we just can find out in the early phases.
