Help jog my memory re: cutting a 336

Post by Pisgah »

Several months back I read a most interesting post, including photos, of a Marlin 336 or Glenfield 30A that had had the barrel cut to 16 or 18" and the mag tube shortened to a "button mag" configuration. For the life of me I cannot recall if I sa it here or on another forum, but I'd sure appreciate anyone pointing me to it if they know where it is. I have acquired a cheap, rusted, beat-up but sound 30A and am considering a similar job. Thanks!
