OT...Has anyone ever attended the annual Sgt. Alvin York shoot ?? I believe it is in March. If you have did you compete ? I would love to visit with someone that has been there....

At the Alvin York shoot they use what are refferred to as "Chunk Gun's" or "Over the Log Gun's" . We have a Virginia State Cunk Gun Championship each year at a club down around Danville Virginia .

We have our own state chunk gun shoot[Mi.]
the first year we had it, I placed first.I just
got lucky in the two day event.My 54 cal.
under hammer never missed the mark.Got best
shot Saturday[closest to center of bull]The
prize for that is 10# of lead,traditional.
You all should try it,its a lot of fun and there's
some excellent shooters,I won in 1990.Got a
bronze tomahawk and a plack.State champ.
p.s.won $48.00 in quarter side bets too.
