Post by Borregos »

I have been after a 39A for some time now and I finally got one from a guy at the club last night :D
It is in great condition and sports a Williams peep.
Manufactured in 1978, cost me $275, great shooter, I am happy :D :D

No pics yet, my grand daughter has borrowed the camera :!:

Good Deal.

I got my first one about a year ago. Dates out to 1957. Absolutely love it.
Great little rifles!!

If I had to go to only one gun, my 39A would be the one.

Yeah, welcome to the club! I think you got a great deal. I've seen them going in the $350-450 range around here. My 39a was also made in the late 70's. My Dad gave it to me for my 12th birthday. Really an awesome gun. I just need(okay, want) a Mountie to go with it.

Yep that is a heckuva deal!!!

I've slowly gathered a few 39A's, old and new and one 1897. I REALLY admire about Marlin and this model, is that everyone of my 5 versions dating from 1902 to 2007 are EXCELLENT rifles and shoulder, hold, and shoot exceedingly well. Once in a while I'll have a little extraction or ejection problem, but easy to fix, usually just need cleaning.

You won't regret your purchase!
