New guy
I just joined. Laid off dump truck driver from Northern Ohio. Should be going back to work in a couple of weeks. Just dug a grave for our little Yorkie who we our putting down tomorrow. Grown man, but been crying like a little girl. She has a brain tumor, blind, walking in circles, falling down. My wife and I are heartsick.
Own a couple of leverguns. One is a Winchester 94 in 22 mag. The other is a Marlin 1894Classic in 32-20. Loading for it myself but havent experimented too much. Off the top of my head my load is:
Winchester brass
Hornady 100gr hollow points
WSR
IMR 4227, 10.0gr
What are you guys doing with yours? Thanks in advance and good to be here. Tom

Hi, Tom......sit down and have a cup of coffee and enjoy yourself. Good luck on job hunting...... Have you tried the LilGun on the 32-20? Or 25-20? I'm going to use it for a new Bee and wondered if there were loads for the other two in the family.

Welcome to the forum.
I don't have a 32-20 so I don't have any recipes to share with you, but there will be some coming soon.

Welcome. Don't go without a dog too long; the quickest way to 'cheer up' again is to have another pooch to liven up your days.
I think .32-20 is one of the favorites on this forum, and it is one of the most under-appreciated rounds in my opinion. Unfortunately, the bore diameter is 'odd' and the brass sometimes fragile, but in a modern gun it is everything the .30 Carbine or .327 Federal Magnum is, and in an older gun, it is still much the target and even deer-hunting round. The old-timers knew it was SHOT PLACEMENT that mattered, not velocity or any definition of 'power'.
I haven't reloaded for the .32-20 for years, but if you post with the 'Subject' being "Favorite .32-20 loads" you'll likely get lots of responses. I recall a couple threads where lots of good info was posted, but unfortunately, the "search" function won't handle terms like "32-20" very well...
BTW - any forum experts know how to get around that "search" quirk...?

Two fine rifles and ones I have been looking for. Hope you enjoy them. Paco has a lot in his book about the 32-20s and the 22 mag.

Tough one with the dog, had to do that too. No right to keep them suffering from my point of view. They are here with us for a time.

WELL NOW, HOW ARE THINGS IN WINESBURG, OHIO?? I HAVE STOOD AND SALUTED GENERAL McPHERSON'S GRAVE SITE THERE.
LOSING YOUR DOG IS A TOUGH THING TO ENDURE. I CAN STILL WEEP OVER MY DOG CHECKER [ NAMED AFTER THE CHEKA..] WHO WENT HOME FOURTEEN YEARS AGO NOW IF I THINK TOO MUCH UPON HIS PASSING. THE TWO DOGS I HAVE NOW, DREYFUS AND PISTOL, ARE A GREAT COMFORT THOUGH AND THE ADVISE YOU RECEIVED TO NOT WAIT TOO LONG BEFORE GIVING A NEW HOME TO ANOTHER DOG IS VERY SOUND ADVISE.
I HAVE FOUND THAT LILGUN IS NOTHING SHORT OF SUPERB IN BOTH MY M53 32-20 AND THE SAA 7 1/2" 32-20. LUCKILY BOTH GUNS SHOOT THE SAME LOADS VERY WELL.
I HAVE FOUND 2400 AND UNIQUE TO ALSO BE QUITE GOOD IN THE 32-20 IN YEARS PAST.

We have 3 other dogs that are much older than the one we are gonna lose, so I think I'll wait on getting another until we lose the rest. Thanks all for your kind words. Tom

Welcome to the forum.
I've rolled through Clyde a bunch of times since I'm an OTR driver to avoid the tollroad. Sorry to hear about your buddy. I've got a ten and a half year old miniature dachshund (Keylock) that rides with me around the country. He's been with me pretty much since he was eight weeks old.

Welcome,
So sorry to hear about that little precious Yorkie.
I love them dogs!
Tomorrow when you two are going through that rough time,
as if already what you guys are going through isnt rough
enough.
Sit down with your wife and think to yourselves::
"This is the last nicest thing you could do for your little friend."
They really are family members, and my heart goes out to you two.
Take Care!!!!!!

You're not far from my neck of the woods. I'm in Vermilion. OH!
We've got an Old Girl that won't be with us much longer.
My Lab Tasha turned fifteen in Feb. of this year.
She's doing well but slowing down and having some difficulties.
She is the first dog I ever had and I am having a tough time
with realization that she won't be around forever.
Good to have another Yankee on the board!
Thake care,
jb
Almost forgot:
Been shooting the .32-20 since I was about 19.
A 118 Gr LFP and 4.5 Gr. Bullseye has been my standby.
