Browning made a copy (Miroku in Japan actually) in the 80's. Then Winchester/USRAC had Miroku make some up just a few years back. Some of those are still available via Davidson's I believe. If you go to GalleryOfGuns.com and lookup the Davidson's Exclusives you'll see them under the US Repeating Arms section.

Sily question but do the Miroku "Winchesters" say Winchester model 1886? Or do they indicate "Miroku" anywhere on the them?

and would the serial number start with ES-####?

It is darn confusing because it is such a common model number. 1886.

Thanks for anyone's comments - also what would the value be?

I didn't see any at Davidson' / Gallery of guns by the way.

Have you looked at Gunbroker, Gunsamerica, or Auction Arms for replica '86's for sale. You might get an idea from those sites that will answer your questions.

Miroku made them for both Browning and Winchester as Rimfire said, they generally price between $1000 and $2000 depending on model and condition, private one's are usually are cheaper then from a dealer, lots of them around if you look.

They are NOT marked "Miroku". This began in the 1980s.
