IT has come

US Weather Bureau Report

The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consul Ifft, at Bergen, Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers, he declared, all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met with as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulfstream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared. Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts, which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.

Oh...I'm sorry, I neglected to mention this report was from November 2, 1922 as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post.

After the warm weather of the 1930s gave way to a cooling trend beginning in 1940, the media began speculating on the imminent arrival of a new Ice Age. We have now come full circle, mired in a hopeless cycle of reincarnated ignorance. H. L. Mencken understood this process when he explained "the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary."

Oh, heck you don't have to go back that far. Back in the early 70s they were predicting ice ages again. The mass media gets a hold of this *expletive deleted* "story" about every 30 years, only change is: they flip it over, colder/hotter, and that's been going on since before 1922.

They can't get the weather right 100%, and they expect me to believe they have a clue about climate? Global climate is about 100k more complicated than the weather. Yeah, right, they know what's gonna happen, the only thing is: they will be right, as they've been taking both sides for more than a century.
"People who object to weapons aren't abolishing violence, they're begging for rule by brute force, when the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically 'right.' Guns ended that, and social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work."

22 F and a foot or two of snow on the way here in Central Maine.
Last summer was the coldest, wettest summer around these parts
since they've been keeping records.

And a thousand years ago the Vikings were farming on Greenland.

The only climactic constant is change, don't you think?

Yup, we got a breeze today as well, we needed to clear some of the ice off, it's been pretty sporty round here!

Yep it's here alright. Global warming is in full effect. It is 9 degrees F here this morning with a windchill of -8 F.
If we did not have global warming kicking in it might be 8 degrees F and a windchill of - 7 F.
Global warming is perhaps the largest piece of B.S ever played on the World public from our "buddy's" at the
U.N. What a bunch of horse manure, Anyone that believes in this should spend about 7 months in a cold michigan winter.
That would change there toon a bit.
