Kind of new to this forum but wanted to see who might be located in central Florida. See if any of you guys ever get together to just go shoot. I've been pretty much on my own over here in Daytona. I'm not into to competition, just enjoy shooting.

Jerry-Welcome to the forum. I am down near Ft Myers. A few of us Florida levergunners got together and shot in Daytona a while ago. There are at least a couple guys in your area. I am ussually up for a little drive to go shooting, maybe we can get another shoot set-up.

I'm over in Sanford, a decent drive away. I shoot with Rihmfire over at the Strickland range just outside of Daytona once in a while. We haven't shot in some time, but now that it's cooler I'm sure we'll hookup at some point for some shooting. We've also shot over there with CrawdaddyJim from Deland.

Hey Grahng, I just saw this myself. I'm down I-4 the other way just past Lakeland in Plant City.

And I'm in Melbourne. We usually shoot at Sebastian or at the Malabar Club. For a state that's not that big we sure are spread out, aren't we ? - DixieBoy

A close friend lives on the Gulf Coast, in Englewood (just North of Ft.Myers) - and when I visit with him, we go to a public range he attends regularly, in a state management area off I-75, just South of Port Charlotte.
It's a lot less densely-populated than the Gold Coast, IMO.

tampa bay area here... i like to shoot at manettee gun club... 1000 yrds there... also cas shoots, myaka misfits i believe...

Im in sarasota that range in punta gorda is at babcock webb.Im a member of a club in arcadia and also shoot at knighttrail park in sarasota.

I think it would be a great idea to have another get together
in the near future.....and the sooner the better!

I just thought of something you guys might be interested in...
The Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) in having the Florida
State Championships this coming weekend just outside of Orlando
and I think I may go watch these guys compete....

You Florid Boys ought to organize a statewide rendezvous similar to the CSA Rendezvous (that is Confederate Sixgunners of America).
Find a range or a good hillside in a large field and organize a weekend event. Believe me a couple of days of shooting, eating, yarning and showing off guns is about as much fun as you can have sober and fully dressed. We generally have a meal prepared at the range one day and a dinner at a decent restaurant on Saturday night.
Y'all would have tons of fun and I'll bet y'all would make it an annual or semi-annual event.
