OT: price check on used brass

Post by awp101 »

Looking for something else the other day, I ran across once fired brass I forgot I had. So far I've only got the .38WCF brass tumbling but I know I have some Starline and Black Hills.

I see Midway has the Starline at $27.50/100 for new brass but nothing listed for the BHA. What's a fair price to ask for it once I'm done tumbling it? $0.10 per case? $0.15 per case? I have no idea what once fired brass is going for nowadays... :?

Thanks!

awp101,

The BHA brass only comes in loaded Black Hills ammo. So I'd price it the same as any once fired brass.

I'm not sure what to ask for it though. Maybe half what new brass would cost plus shipping.

Thanks, I was thinking 1/2 price but wasn't sure.

BTW, did you see the knife sharpening link I posted a couple of days ago in a knife thread?

Used Brass prices ,..... in my opinion,.. depends on more than retail or Internet once fired advertised prices. Most of the prices I had pulled up are either out dated, or, no date at all.

Furthermore, i believe pricing is definitely effected by caliber. I have searched 44mag and 44spl for new prices and once fired prices to find 99.99% of every retailer had NONE IN STOCK.

I think in such cases ( pun intended  ) I won't sell any of my supply for less that 20% off retail for NEW.

Supply and demand guy,.... consider it.

I think all of my .44 mag stuff has already gone down the road but if I find any I'll drop you a line.
