Lots of ingenious craftsmanship there. That's not the really COOL part, though.

The really COOL part is that you took the time to take all those pics and SHARE it with the rest of us dummies so's we could maybe copy one or two of those things and tell our friends WE thought 'em up...

I'm happy to share my ideas with others because over the years I've learned so much about firearms and such on forums like this that I feel that its only fair to give something myself.

You da man Steve

Now you have me looking critically at my Dillon 550 B.

Already swiping your idea of the powder measure adjustment bolt .

I've been working on attaching a plastic knob to the powder measure bolt
but I like your idea much better.

What I did do though was to mark with a magic marker on the powder measure bolt
an arrow and a plus sign the direction to turn the bolt to INCREASE the powder charge.
Seems like a small thing but I always seem to turn it the wrong way first.

Thanks Steve !

Wow, nicely done Steve!

Thanks for taking the time to post the pix and the awesome write-up. All we need to do now... Is to get you a can of Dillon Blue spray paint!!!

Seriously...

I have a "how to" (somewhere) on adding an LED powder-checker light that tips in to allow you to see the powder level in a case -- for those of us with 550s upgraded from the older 450s -- and then tips out (and turns off) when the ram comes up. Will post some pix "if" I ever get that project done.

There's also a "crud relief groove" fix which is cut under the shell plate with a Dremel cut-off wheel, which prevents any binding from crud. Will try to find that link...

That is very impressive, I haven't had mine set up for over 9 years from before I moved to current location. I will add your mods as soon as I get the chance to set it back up.
