Not sure what rifles you are asking about.

I'm sorry...either the Uberti or Pedersoli Lightning reproductions.

Winchester 1884.

The full pump on these guns is about 3" so there is nothing faster for cycling rounds.

Here is a guy that can work them pretty well. It's a world record. The rifle can start mounted on the shoulder, loaded with ten rounds, chamber empty. On the beep, shoot, all rounds must hit the target (steel). 1.92 seconds seems pretty good to me!! Best regards. Wind

I only found out about these in the past year or so.

Ya, ya,... I know, way behind the learning curve!!

All I can say is,... unless they have a bad rep on function,... I would have gotten them instead of my levers!! 8)

I think they're slicker than snot on a brass door knob!!! 8)

Just wish they had them in 444! 8)

I like my Uberti made Beretta, except for the "painted on" case harding. Shoots great and very fast handling.

I've always wanted an original in 22 or 32-20 but I've never run into one that I felt good about. I hear that the mechanism on the originals is "delicate". As such, I believe they break down more than other long arms of the pump or lever persuasion. I'm speaking of the original Colt's here ... not the repros. One would assume that as part of the process of bringing such a gun back to market, the Italians would have mode corrections or adjustments in materials and/or dimensions to help bolster reliability.
