RUMOR: New.45-70 Levergun Intro Coming !

Post by Pete44ru »

When I had my good ear to the ground this evening, I heard a rumor that Mr.Imperato, Henry Repeating Arms Prexy, has alluded to some folks on the new Henry forum over on Marlin Owners, that a pistol-gripped .45-70 will be coming soon..............................

I really like Mr. Imperato....

But a Henry RAC .45-70 is going to need trunnions and a carriage to move around...

Old Ironsights, based on the weight of the Big Boy and .30-30, you might not be far off.

Henry should stick to .22's. An 8 lb. 30-30 and maybe ? a 13lb 45-70 ?

Ok, so it is not only me that thinks that gun is heavier then heck. Nice looking gun, but darn heavy.

ETA: At the F.E. Warren AFB BX gun counter they have a Henry in .44Mag. But I didn't handle it and have no desire to own it for ($700+)

Those Henry's might be a tad heavy but they are good shooters and nice looking. Smooth too.
