OT - Broken Mosin Nagant

I mean REALLY broken!

BTW before any of you who are just getting into the MN start getting worried, don't. Some may look like they were chiseled with dull tooling on a Monday morning after Ivan spent all weekend curled up in a bottle of vodka, but this is a very unusual case. The MN 1891 and all of it's variants are Hell for stout.

Well if you're going to break something you may as well do it in a way that nobody has seen before. A wallhanger with a story for sure.

I have never heard of any failing like that or just failing period, the design is very, very strong. But if you look at the pictures, you can see that it had been cracked before refurbishment, the blueing contrasts very well. But like everything, some times with mass production and little quality control this will happen. I wonder how long it held before it completely cracked.

On a side note the seller Aim Surplus, actually replaced that one with a different one for no charge!! How is that for service, I mean its a surplus rifle that would have no guarantee! Eric at Aim Surplus is a very good person the do business with, they kept their prices down when the 2008 madness set in and all the dealers were gouging everybody, Aim did not.

Steve,

Thanks for that bit of info. I've never had a lick of trouble in dealing with AIM.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Steve, I hadn't heard that either but it does not surprise me. AIM's good folks.

I like to pass it on about Aim replacing that rifle. Aim really deserves some praise for doing good business.

Hobie,

I know Aim sponsors other boards, maybe Aim would be interested in becoming a sponsor here. I'm sure some folks here can benefit from what Aim has for sale.
