$1700.00?!?!?

I can't see spending that much for that gun, even though it does look nice.

I wonder why he didn't mention the bore condition.

I remember the silvertips... They had aluminum tips and you'd find those crappy bullet fragments all through the meat.

Nothing wrong with copper and lead...

The bore is excellent

This quote was taken from the article. That's all he says about it, but it's there. Looks like a nice gun to me, but it seems awful pricey, with the "buy it now" price at 2,800

That goes to show you just how good our economy really is. All kinds of folks can come up with that much money.

If I paid 2800.00 for it, it would have to have a lot better blueing on it than what I see here. That guy must have wanted a 71 awful bad.

Gents,

"Lozen" used to be a member of our forum. I guess he may tell us about his new rifle!

I would hate to give 2800 for it, but I am guilty of giving 2800 for a minty 71 Deluxe rifle. The dealer I purchased my 71 Deluxe had a short barreled 71 carbine, maybe a little slicker than that one, for 4000 at the last gunshow in Tulsa. Original 71 Carbines are pretty rare.
