Looks like an old vertical freezer that is going to be turned into a lockable gun safe that no self-respecting burglar would look at.

Ya beat me to it OS. But what does that kind of "pi" have to do with a refrigerator?

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.

I just wasn't sure where we were in the "what is it" count so I figured something unending would be good...

Besides, I like PI... particularly Pecan.

There is a chest freezer nearby and much more accessible, as well as the regular 'fridge. The intent is to get a burglarscum to hit the fridge & the StackOn (un)Safe holding the Throwaway(s) and ignore the "Antelope Burger Freezer" holding the good stuff...

I'll get a Liberty Safe when I can afford it. (the 'fridge shown was free for haulage...)

Finally got one of these "What is it?" right. It is a good idea at the right price.

I dunno............ With the way food prices have been going through the roof, especially beef/lamb/etc, grabbing a reefer might net a thief more value than guns. ;) . .

Looks like an empty refrigerator that needs a big hunting trip. A moose and an elk maybe. Fill it with meat and you will still need a lock. . . . :D

It would work for pie too. . . . . .

I removed the plastic lining and the rotted insulation in mine. I lined it with 1/2 plywood and put in pegs to hold the rifles etc from hitting each other. On the door and the door frame, I welded in a steel frame and latching mechanism similar to a vault door. It has fixed legs that overlap the hinge side of the door frame and the lock pivots the rest of the lock rods to clear the frame. Inside I put in a Golden Rod heater and have had no problems with rust or mold. Works great for me.

Pretty slick for hiding your firearms from burglars ......not so good for fire protection. Having lost a house to fire before, that's something I tend to consider. Good concept though.

Not as good as a "real" safe, for sure, but WAAAAY better than a "stack-On" style Tin Box... That insulation counts for something.
