Aftermarket mystery ladder sight?

Post by FOTIS »

Any input for this sight?

I am thinking on mounting it on my Marlin 45-70. I just saw it in this picture and it looked really interesting. Any input or specs about it would be appreciated!

Dunno, but I like it! Wonder if they'd have one for the odd-duck early Rossi metric dovetails (.390-ish)?

My thoughts as well. Can't comment on them as I've never had one. Usually the ladder isn't marked for elevation. They leave that up to you.

Smith Ladder Sight, Brownells has them.

I have this on my 30-30 Winchester Legacy 26" octagon barrel, also on my H & R 38-55 Buffalo Target, & my Marlin 95 Cowboy Classic 45-70.

A very nice sight indeed, kinda on the pricey side. I bought mine pre-owned so it kept the cost down. To get the sight for the Handi-38-55 I bought a used 45-70 barrel it had the Smith sight attached. I swaped out the stock sight on the 38-55, and then sold the 45-70 barrel for the same price I paid for the barrel-sight combo. I got the sight for nothing.
