1886 EL's
Were the EL's ever made with an octagon barrel. Would like to know if they were made that way from start of production to the end of reproduction models?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I paid $950 for my new Grade I Winchester/Miroku M86 EL, and $1050 for my new Grade II Winchester/Miroku M86 EL - but that was 5-6 years ago.
The way I feel about gun price tags is: If I like the gun, I do whatever it takes to acquire it {plastic/whatever), since money is only green paper - I can always get some more, somewhere/someway/somehow.
Once yer under the grass, NOTHIN' will concern ya !
