Just received the Cabelas shooting catalog

Post by foxtrapper »

They have a couple of levers that really look good. A win 1894 oct barrel and the one I was drooling over, a win 1886/71 in 45/70 . It's a Italian copy ,anybody know what the skinny is on the two rifles? Good ,bad or ugly?

Last I heard was that Japanese are building the 94. The case hardened parts look sweet!

Just got back up from the mailbox, some fine looking firearms. I like the looks of that .257 Roberts.

JerryB you read my mind. I think Mr. O'Connor would have liked that one. I know he liked that 270 alot as do I (have two of em) but he seemed to take a shine to that 257 Roberts from time to time when he was hunting the smaller species of deer in the south west.
I'm also liking that 375 H&H as well but I'll have to wait til the academy is over to get that one.

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.
