what is it.

Post by pokey »

first the disclaimer. there is a dump site on my property
that is many years old. i clean up a little at a time, today
i was off work and it was not raining so i spent an hour or
so pulling "stuff" out. i found a few interesting things and
thought you folks might get a kick out of seeing what my
son calls ancient history. most things i am not entirely sure
of myself, so guess away.

#1 bottle, brand i've never heard of.

Other than the bottle i agree the rest are car parts of some sort unless the bottle held booze and that`s how the car parts got there.

Other than the bottle, which is obviously a bottle, I'd say the rest is rusty junk.
I find similar stuff whenever I dig in our back yard. My yard abuts a tidal pond. This whole area used to be farms & my place was part of a farm up until the early 1920's. I find bones & bottles alot, clam & oyster shells and car parts. Found an entire window frame when diging for a retaining wall & judging by how it had to be torn apart to get it out I think the rest of the car might be down there! My thought is that my yard, being by the pond was where they dumped all the stuff they when they were done with it.

#2 looks like the housing from a blower or pump of some kind. Notice it resembles the proportions of a hair dryer.
