I do not see how a 2 or3 hundred lb hominid could go un detected for thousands of years. Those would have been on north American continent thousands of years before "paleo-Indians". Not enough real evidence to support the notion.

I have a movie "The Legend of Bigfoot" and even assuming the footage and footprints are faked, still it will make you think. For example, some Indian tribes made hundreds of rock and cave drawings of a Bigfoot creature, those have been there thousands of years. Lots of sightings happened in the Gold Rush years (the Alaskan Gold Rush I mean). Plus, ranchers and people who actually live in the area don't seem to disbelieve it.

If it is fake, why is it only Pacific Northwesterners have such a sense of humor? PNW'ers have kept it up for over a hundred years now, and not just teenagers or college kids.

----------------------------------------------------

What are the undisputed facts about the bigfoot / sasquatch mystery?

It's a fact that for more than 400 years people have reported seeing large, hair-covered, man-like animals in the wilderness areas of North America.

It is a fact that sightings of these animals continue today. Real or not, these reports are often made by people of unimpeachable character.

It is a fact that, for over seventy years, people have been finding, photographing, and casting sets of very large human-shaped tracks. Most are discovered by chance in remote areas. These tracks continue to be found to this day.

It is a fact that the cultural histories of many Native American and First Nation peoples include stories and beliefs about non-human "peoples" of the wild. Many of these descriptions bear a striking resemblance to the hairy man-like creatures reported today.

These are some of the facts. There is, however, much disagreement as to what these facts mean.

To many, these facts, taken together, suggest the presence of an animal, probably a primate, that exists today in very low population densities. If true, this species, having likely evolved alongside humans, became astonishingly adept at avoiding human contact through a process of natural selection.

To others, these same facts point to a cultural phenomenon kept alive today through a combination of the misidentification of known animals, wishful thinking, and the deliberate fabrication of evidence.

The BFRO, and its members, take the former view.

OS my reply wasn`t directed at you so hope you didn`t take it as an insult, it was just a joke.

Ok here`s my serious take on the matter and is just my opinion, IMO Big Foot, UFOs, Ghosts are all Demon activity.
We live in a spiritual world of good and Evil and deception, Satan has been trying to create things that will tarnish the belief that God created man and that we didn`t evolve from a ape or were we seaded here by alians.
Look at just those three topics and what they have done to decieve people into thinking God isn`t the creator.
I`ve seen ghosts and UFOs ,they are real but they are demon produced to decieve.
Anyway just a thought, may be wrong, something to think about.

OS--------------------------Serious Note-----------------------
BigFoot(real) well their could be the very remote possibility that in some undiscovered part of the world(Amazon Rain Forest etc.)there possibly might be some type ape we have not discovered yet and that it could be (a big one)!

Do I think there are BigFoots (half ape/half man type etc.) like in the movie (Legend of Boggy Creek)stealing ma's apple pies off the window ledge.(NO)

I drive all night now usually starting anywhere from midnight to 2 am. I often listen to the Coast to Coast AM radio show to break up the night. The show was started by Art Bell who has now retired. A few years back a fellow called in one night who claimed to have shot a bigfoot. IIRC as he told the story he and 2 of his Army buddies were out in the woods in the PNW poaching together. He was using a Ruger Superblackhawk with handloads he had loaded himself. As he told the story they were on their knees in a thicket when a female bigfoot made it's presence known. He fired several shots and put it down. After they examined it the three of them got to talking and were afraid to tell anyone what they had done for fear that they would be charged with killing a human.

I used to find Art Bell whenever I was driving at night...Highly entertaining, to say the least :o It's the lizard people that control gubment that worry me more than Bigfoot...
Just remembered: Did you hear the show where some lady was abducted to be a Bigfoot sex slave, and then had it's child? It WAS on the show
