Cute grey fox pic.

Post by hightime »

I've been watching deer mostly. Not much for bucks, but a lot of does and fawns. I seem to have a lot of grey fox. I think it's because of all the red squirls. The fox looks a little chubby to me.

When growing up and trapping I thought Red Fox were king and never gave Grey Fox any thought. Anymore I think the Grey is a very neat looking critter with personality to spare and it sucks they're all but gone around here.

BTW, too early for pups. They're just getting into breeding season.

I'd be chubby too if I had to live in Duluth!

The correct answer to that question is: "No, it's not the coat... It's your fat a** that makes you look fat!!!

And then the fight started...

Yeah, you're right about being chubby in Duluth. Although I've never seen such a easy , boring , winter. Yeah, If you actually like it here It's because you like winter. Where the heck is our snow?
I have a new $13,000 sled and no snow. Headed to Idaho next week. Ice fishing has been easy. You can drive your car on the lakes without plowing.

Haha so i've heard! I'm a wisconsinite (go packers der hey), who married a minnesotan, with a yooper fadder-in-law. I'm trying to get a job transfer back up to one of those three SUPERIOR states. It may be 70 degrees here in January, but i miss the wind and snow, not to mention, TREES and WATER!!!!

You going to the Duluth gunshow? I just read about, but aint going to be able to stop. Need to get a load to Virgina by2pm. I knew i should have parked at Black bear last night. We had a grey fox at the cabin. Would come out when the door opened. Was feeding him bread soaked in bacon grease. My brother left a nice "rack" on the woodpile and he took off with it? Never did find them. He disappeared last year and aint seen him since.

Grey fox problem ,I can help you out 8) they are neat critters . They like to climb trees to raid nests and have a attitude of a wolf. Walk up to a redfox you have pinned and most of the time they are curled up dreaming . Walk up to a gray and they are a snarling, bouncing like to get a piece you dynamo!

I miss the woods and trees and water, but not the wind or snow!! I'm getting a bit bored with Arizona after 24 years though.

And yes, that was nice chubby lookin' GRAY fox! Foxes in general were all but gone when I grew up in Minny, but I'm told they run all over the place there now. Bad for pheasant and grouse hunting I'd wager? Don't know, just guessing...

When I bought this house in 1975, it was less than two blocks from north city limits - now, the geographic center of town is less than a mile east (geography dictates Colorado Springs can only grow north and east). We do have some 20 or so acres behind us designated as "open space" - to never be developed - and it's wooded.

Makes for some friendly animals who feel quite at home in our yard -

The only other one is the bear - doesn't stop long enough for pic - did trash my wife's bird feeded though - so shes not that welcome - nor her cubs.

They may look cute but them boogers cause lots of problems around the house as far as the chickens and other small critters go.

Here is a pic of mine.

Here is the first one my son got.

He was pretty fat as he was feeding good on the chickens.
