Old Winchester Catalogs, Well, maybe not quite OLD, but...

Post by Griff »

Many many months ago, I was sent some Winchester catalogs to scan into .pdf files. I didn't forget, but it does usually take me awhile to get things done. Finally, after months of not remembering to get both the scanner and computer out of my truck at the same time... I got sick. And finally got both the computer, the scanner and the catalogs into the same room.

Anyone who wants the 1967, 1968, 1969 or 1970 Winchester Catalogs on a .pdf file, let me know with an email address I can sent them to. They're huge files... 77KB or thereabouts.

{Actually, as of RIGHT NOW, only the 1968 is available... I did the 1967 last nite, but in the wrong format... so I'll have to redo it and get the '69 & 70s catalogs done tonite... or tomorrow}. Remember, my modis operandi, is never put off till tomorrow that which can be put off until the day AFTER tomorrow!

Hey Griff, if you're not worried about who gets them, you can put them in dropbox.com for free and give out a public link here and you won't have to worry about the size.

Or you can email them to me and i can do it for you. chadbr at yahoo dot com.

In Spring 2006, on the day Winchester announced the New Haven closing, I was able to ask for & receive a pile of spanky-new 2006 catalogs, which included some "come-a-long" ghost guns that were only enticements & never actually made.

"Someday", the catalogs may actually be worth more than my time. ;) .

Aye Pete, I did the same. That they announced that nifty modern take-down model, and never produced it irks me. Then when Miroku was given production, they went back to the same TD method they'd had, yet with the AE... sorry, I'm confused.

The files are TOO large to email... I tried uploading them to DropBox... but the link doesn't seem to work.

Anyone able to access the following link: 1967 Winchester Catalog?

Yep! Works NOW! Enjoy!

Great Griff! And I was able to access the second one too. So I´m fairly certain that I´ll be able to download the 1970 one I want!
Edit: Oh, and thank´s for uploading these, btw. Nice stuff to read.

Thanks Griff,

I recently bought a Buffalo Bill rifle made in '68.

I notice that the original price of it was $129, which was a bit more than a weeks' wages for me in those days.

If anyone else has an old Winchester catalog and would be willing to part with it for a few weeks... (mailing time & such), I'd be happy to post it up for everyone's enjoyment.

If anyone has, as Griff ask´s, any more of the catalogs, this would make a great stickie. I wonder how many we could gather up in here?
