Scope elevation/windage adjustment CAPS?

Post by Tristan »

Anyone have an idea where to find replacement caps for a Tasco scope that came to me sans-caps?

I've tried to find using Google and Brownell's, but perhaps my search-fu is a bit weak tonight.

TIA

I wish you the best of luck. One can try various caps that might be "extra" at your local gun shop, but that seldom works unless you find Tasco caps. I don't know why every maker seems to use a different cap.

go to the next local gun show and try to pick up a junker tasco.
should not be too hard , maybe 10/15 bucks.
careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

I think I may have at least one extra laying around. If I find it or them I will post it here. Will post either way to let you know.

Well, I had considered finding a junker, but haven't had any luck, yet.

Funny thing is, this scope could have been considered a junker; when it came into my possession, the caps were gone, and unnoticed by me the screw which mates the zoom ring to the internals was missing.

Found a galvanized screw that will work in the zoom ring until a blued steel replacement can be found/made. Funny, but for a junker it's very clear and has decent definition.

If someone has some tasco caps or a junker they'd like to part with, PM me and let me know what you'd like for them.

Mandatory leverguns content: It came on a Marlin 336! :-)

Thanks!

your local gun gun range (gun club) may have some...talk to the care-taker or range master...you'll be surprised how many leave their caps behind...i was given a set for a Leopold scope that came sans caps...good hunting... :)

+1 on the people at the range. They get left behind all the time.
