Forget the weights. PUNISH YOURSELF with cardio! Last time I was in the mountains, I found out some jerk had removed most of the oxygen from the places I wanted to go!

Congrats and +1 on the cardio. You will need all the O2 you can get into your system.

I live along the gulf coast. Recently I went to Denver and took the stairs up to the 3rd floor of my hotel. Its amazing how fast you get winded when you are not used to the elevation

JMiller,
A bull elk. It seems I only draw a general (any elk) tag about every 4-5 years. Cow tags are easy to get. Nothing wrong with a cow. Usually better eating. I would just like to get one nice 6x6 bull.

Travis, I know what you mean about the cardio. I usually get there a couple days prior to get acclimated. I live at about 1000' and where I hunt is about 8000'.
