Added another one to the collection

Post by rbertalotto »

I just put a "hold" in a Winchester 1892 DLX Take Down in 45LC...........This is the Japanese reproduction. My understanding is this is a very limited production rifle (231 made)

Will pick it up later today............

Yup that tang safety has to go! I'll do the same thing that I did to my 1886. Remove the tang safety and weld the opening closed. And remove the rebound hammer.
Then I'm going to send it out to be case colored. It's going to be a little beauty!

That looks like a beautiful AND practical rifle...!

I'm not a huge fan of the Japchesters but this one really caught my eye. :D It has most of the atributes that made an antique Winchester a very special order special gun It appears to also be of the short rifle configuration. Very nice...............when you get it home, give that baby a serious workout!-----------------Sixgun

I've got one in 44-40. Almost too pretty to shoot. Almost.

Thanks folks........It is now apart and I'm having at it with the stones. It needs some serious "slicking up".

But it sure is pretty!
