G-daughter Burn Update

Good Morning Gents and Ladies, went to visit with My Baby Girl yeaterday. She was in good spirits and upbeat, didn't seem to be in a lot of pain. She is still wrapped and still going through the cleaning process every so often. This takes just a little over an hour and they give Her some kind of drug to make Her forget what happened. She came out of it the first time and asked when They were going to start, so it worked. We were there about 4 hours and could tell that She was beginning to have a litlle pain and getting tired.
She is scheduled for a skin graft on Her right ankle tomorrow. They want to do somekind of "Test" procedure which will be about the size of a postage stamp. I am not sure what it entails but They have to get Her permission.
I will update as new information is received. Prayers are still requested and greatly appreciated. Praying that the grafts take.

Glad that she seems to be responding well. Burns generally take a lot of time to heal (with considerable discomfort for the patient) and continued prayers offered up for her to have a speedy recovery with minimal complications.

Thanks Guys for the continued Prayers.
We spent the morning at the Hospital. She had Her skin Grafts today. It was on the top and bottom of Her right foot and ankle and Her right Calf. She was sleeping pretty good when We left and didn't even know We were there. Apparently the grafts are more painful than the Burns themselves. Suppose to spend about 10 more days in the Hospital and if She is Mobile and manages Her pain well She can go Home. My Wife is talking to Her as I type and She is in a lot of pain and concerned about where They got the Skin for graft,(She wants to wear a Bikini)
Thats all I have for now. Will post as She progresses. Thanks again for Ur Prayers.

Thanks Guys for the continued Prayers. They are trying to wean Her off pain meds now. I pray that They can do it and Her pain is tolerable.

Haley (that is Her Name) is going Home today. We went to see Her yesterday and She is doing really good. Healing very well, Pain meds are down to almost nil. She is going Home Not because She is completely ready but because Insurance won't pay anymore. I just hope it is not too soon. I could actually look at Her skin and not break up. She still has a ways to go but maybe Home will Be good medicine.

Home probably is the best place. Lots of stress being in a hospital. Just make sure she follows the doc orders precisely, and if there is even a hint of infection, go directly to the doctor, do mess around thinking it might get better. I know you mentioned grafts, but if they are still doing any debriedment, she's in for ups and downs emotionally. She's a tough one and will ride it out.

I will tell Her Hi from Everyone. We were talking about how Prayer works and I told Her that People in England were Praying for Her. She said "Who do I know in England" I said Nobody just a Bunch of concerned Gun Nuts.Then I proceded to tell Her that I posted a Prayer request on a Gun Forum. She said " Aww that's nice"
