My first Levergun

I have a Daisy Red Ryder that was my first levergun. Picked it up at a yard sale when I was about four or five. It is a Model 1938B, lot No. 89054405. It has the Medallion on the side of the stock. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it. I'm curious.

All I know is the new ones are made in China, and have plastic levers. My "roach rifle" is a Daisy model 10 which is a straight grip plain jane version of the Red Ryder. Mine's new enough to be chicom made which is sad but unavoidable. It has a plastic lever but still works about as well as the old Daisy I had back in 1966.

Are you certain that levergun doesn't belong to Y2K??? Looks kinda like one of his for some reason that I can't quite grasp.

Looks like a bit of angulation at the second metatarsal joint on the right... :?
