I've been away for awhile...

Post by mod71alaska »

I've been away from the Forum for awhile but have kept you in my thoughts and prayers. Looking out the window the woods are shades of red and orange and snow is on the mountains today.

Good shooting and hunting, Levergunners!

Thank you for all your well wishes and kind words. It's good to be back.

Bill in Oregon...that Alaska grizzly was a nice bear and especially because it was taken with a Model 71!!! The .348 Model 71 likely has taken more bear in AK historically than any other cartridge. The .348 is just as good today as it was back in AK's territorial days. Did you notice the length of those claws??? Whoa! Good shooting, dimrod!

Game Keeper, you're the Birthday Man...reminding us all we're getting older and some of us not older but old! :o Hey, I can handle dark humor! Thank you, sincerely. Really, I'm not kidding! :D

Sometime this fall I will post the "2nd Annual LGF Coat Sale" with brand new insulated red wool hunting coats for you...almost enough for everyone! And...drum roll..."I need room in my safe" so there will be at least a lever gun or three from my collection, too. Knives, reloading stuff, scopes, rifle cases, .218 Bee and .348 cartridges, and more...when I get to it. I'm glad to pass these things on to Levergunner friends here.

Good shooting and good hunting!

Victor,

Have missed you. Your email and such must have been full also. I was terribly worried, heard you were undergoing some "procedure", then nothing. Feared the wrost. Glad to hear that all was for naught.

Looking forward to hearing about your adventures while you've been away. You have some makin' up to do! :P :D :D
