Wife's operation went well.

Post by rangerider7 »

My wife had her operation to fix a hernia that came from her last cancer operation. We were in the hospital five days. We got home last night. She is pretty doped up on pain pills so she sleeps most of the day. We got about 5 miles from the hospital when she noticed that they hadn't taken her IV port out, back we went. I offered to take it out myself but that was vetoed quickly. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers last time a few more wouldn't hurt the cause this time. The doctor said all looked fine and she is still in remission. Thanks ahead of time, RR7.

Prayers said RR7, Praise God for the remission. She will feel like a new Woman when She heals from this. Caint say as I blame Her on the IV port, I think She made the right choice, not doubting Ur competence mind You but some things are best left up to the Pros.

The TLC she'll receive at home is even better than the best stuff the doctors can provide.

That is great news, especially that she is still in remission. I am very glad to hear this.

Glad the surgery went well. Very glad to hear the big R is still in play with cancer. I get nervous every two month when they check mine out.

My prayers to you both and your family. Cancer ranks real high on the crisis scale remission included.

They seem to be, we have an appointment tomorrow to take all the staples out along with a drain tube. I told them I have a good pair of non-japanese pliers to get the staples out and I could pull the tube out by hand and slap a band-aid or some gum over the hole real quick, but they didn't like that idea at all. I think your right, they are a little narrow-minded.

P.S. I'm not going to let my wife see this post since I like waking up all in one piece, if you know what I mean.
