Movie: Lonely are the Brave
Made in 1962. Stars in it are real young looking. Kirk Douglass, Walter Matthau, Carrol O'Connor, George Kennedy and a few others I dont know names of, but recognize from other movies and shows

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

My favorite movie and Douglas always said it was his favorite. The horse was killed while making the movie. Drowned in the flood waters of that creek.

I'm sure they had several horses that looked just alike as insurance. Gotta have stand-ins.
I always liked it when Mathau would talk to the dog hiking his leg to the barber pole, giving him encouragement.
