UTAS

I smiled a genuine smile today, for the first time in quite a while. I held one of THESE in my hands today.

It is not mine, but I want one. Wow.

Bull pups never have done well here for some reason. They seem strange to me but then I'm left handed too. High Standard had a bull pup 12 ga semi auto back in the 70's that even had a space for a flashlight.

You beat me to it. I'm still waiting to get a KSG. I've seen a few for black market prices, I was hoping the prices would be down to MSRP so I could give myself one for Christmas. Oh well, my birthdays a few months away, maybe by then.

Hickok45 has a decent comparison of the two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xaxGhKLMqY
I like the bottom ejection as well as the more compact size and less bulky looks of the KSG but appreciated these design features of the UTAS: easy top loading, easier to clear jams, able to fire all 14 rounds without having to switch a lever halfway through.
Either might be good insurance hanging from a cross shoulder strap while fly fishing streams in Alaska.
