Our Cabelas didn't look quite that good, but, they had about everything except 30wcf, .22, and a couple others.....Reloading supplies are still non-existant, particularly bullets....

Yep - shotshells have been in stock throughout the "panic".

Let's see a pic of the pistol and black rifle ammo! :)

There is more ammo available now - demand and panic buying seem to be slowing. The local wally mart had several boxes of Fed 9mm 50 count when I was there last.

Ditto. No picture of ammo for me either. I'm logged in so that isn't the problem. Just loaded the page on my phone and the image shows up there. Hmmmmm, I'm mystified. (And that is a lot of ammo.)

From about that fellar's arm and beyond is rifle & pistol ammo. The only thing I would say is in short supply is .223/5.56 & .22s. They had a sellection of .30-30s if you wanted Rem or Winch 150s, Winch 170 or Horn 160 LeveRevolution.

Best stocked retail chain I've seen in 5 months... If it ain't all gone by Sat... we might be seein' the end of the crunch! My buddy bought some .40 stuff, and a coupla boxes of 9mm. And didn't really make a dent in the shelf.

This can't be a real pic - that customer is allowed to walk right up to the ammo! It's not locked up! He's a member of the general public for Chrissakes!

What you can not see in the picture are the team of "tactical" security guards, armed with full auto MP-5's and riot shields to keep you back from the shelf.

I picked up a box of .40 S&W and a box of .22lr yesterday at the Academy on Forest Lane in Dallas. They had most things, but the high demand items were limited to 1 box per customer. I need to hit the range soon.

By visiting a couple of local stores, I've managed to re-supply my stock of 22 and 45ACP. Prices are a little higher than normal, of course.
45LC is non-existent except for some pricey Magtech Cowboy Action stuff.
223 & 5.56 are showing up now in limited quantities. Stores are limiting customers to 5 boxes (up from 2 just a month ago) at about $17 per 20rds.
Powders are nowhere to be found. Primers and some bullets can be found.
Shotgun was never in short supply but with the way the CA legislature is going, we bought several cases of 12 & 20ga trap loads before the taxes and laws go into place.

Surprisingly, I can still find 147gr 7.62 Winchester and some PMC stuff for the M1A...if I actually needed it. Thankfully, I recently inherited a case of 90's-era Aussie 7.62 NATO and a can of LC M2 to add to the cache so I'm good for a while on 30cal.

Normal hunting fodder was never really affected. The $45 boxes of Hornady and Nosler stayed on the shelves.

I think it's slowwwwwwwwly getting better. Maybe.

I was in the local Wal-mart (SW Ohio) this morning. There were 6 100rd boxes of 9mm ball, one 50rd box, and some 40. I was able to get 3 of the 100 rd boxes.

I just checked and apparently they do not do mail order :( . I have found a few reasonably priced boxes of ammo here and there on the web. None of our stores have them on the shelves more than a few hours after they arrive.

One local big 5 sporting goods, opens at 10AM, but they are lined up at 8AM the morning the ammo arrives.

Joe,about five weeks ago looking on gunbroker for the New Ruger Guide Gun I saw a dealer in P.A. who had one.I clicked on their other auctions and saw tons of ammo for sale also.??? I says to Momma lets go for a Sunday drive I want to put My hands on the rifle. Sure She says.
It was a nice sunny day for a ride, I looked at the rifle which I like alot and look around.ammo everywhere and one of the clearks says there more upstairs and a whole trailer full out side.
The next day was at a local small sporting goods that has been the for 50+ years and they said that those guys probably buy so much that they are on a direct ship status with the manufactures. sure looked like it to Me.

I was in the Scheel's store in Great Falls a couple of days ago. They had no .22 ammo on the shelves, except a couple boxes of birdshot, and when I asked the gun "manager" about regular .22 ammo he said they would let someone buy up to 4 boxes of .22's--if they were a gun buyer as well. Fortunately, I'm already well stocked with .22 ammo.

In the last 7 days 2 small local gun shops have had quite a bit of Federal AutoMatch .22LR at $16.99 and $19 per 325 ct box; CCI Stingers for $6.99 per 50 ct box and $64.99 a case; and 9 mm, .40 and 20 and 50 rd. boxes and 1000 rd. cases...yes, cases!...of .223 all reasonably prices. There were purchase limits per customer, such as 1 case or 5 individual boxes of Stingers or two 325 ct. boxes of Federal .22 Match, but not anything like the 3 box total of combined calibers that Walmart imposes. One shop also has a wall full of "Black" rifles e.g. Stag, Diamondback, Colt, the new S&W .308 M&P 10 for $1499 and a used/like new Bushmaster for $1200; and a glass counter with a large selection of semi auto pistols e.g. Glock 22/23 for $579. (Here in NH there is no sales tax.) Our local shops are the kind with old wood floors and have stood behind their customers with fair pricing during this period of shortage. Walmart is our only "big box" ammunition source, and while they might have a case or two of new ammo 2 or 3 mornings a week it's gone in an hour and thereafter their ammo shelves are bare.

I tip my hat to our local gun shops!!! They have my loyalty.
