I do not approve, people should not have to resort to desperate measures like that.
But the reality is that they are already there so I think it is well thought out and executed.
Owners must practice readiness and combat profeicency skills.

As Nath has stated, we do still have the right of self defense but if you use that right you have to justify whatever method you use.

I was once warned by a policeman that the truncheon I was carrying was a offensive weapon, I was at the time responding to a late night call from an elderly neighbour, whose burglar alarm had gone off.

By the time I cleared off the alarm clock, books, whisky glass, tablet computer, coffee mugs and phone to get it into action the intruder would be long gone. Not necessary anyway - every Englishman worthy of the title has a cricket bat and a riding whip readily to hand.

Is that for real????

Don't forget one BIG thing. Our friends here from England, Nath, Gamekeeper, and Perry, are in the minority in the way they think where they live and I'm sure it was not always that way.

Unless you, me, and every other gunowner and like thinking individual here does not train the youngsters into our mindset, we will be sure to follow.

As a certain percentage of people born are mentally wired to be "bad", its only a matter of time that the people in England will have had enough and take matters into their own hands.

Nath, Perry, and Gamekeeper, come on over here and join us and let the weak wallow in their own misery. We need like minded dudes like you! :D --------------------Sixgun

It's true that I lived in the US for 5 years, although Long Island NY could hardly be called typically American. I would have loved to stay but your government cancelled my L1 visa and told me to go away and not come back. I was advised that there was an 8-year wait for a green card and then a further 10 year wait for citizenship, so, with a visa valid for 5 years max staying on is now impossible for Brits. Of course, I could have gone to Canada and snuck back over the border but I didn't fancy clearing snow and cutting grass for a living.

Dang Perry, THATS bad news. I tell 'ya, its not easy when you are law abiding citizen trying to do the right thing and be a productive member of society by following all the rules. But I see you have a "standard of living" that you want to live and you did what was best for you.

Geeze, if you thought the other way, you could have just slapped a 50 lb. sack of beans over your shoulder, got a little wet sneaking over the Rio Grande, and moved in with 37 relatives in a 2 room shack. :D

Great priorities our G-men have.-----------6

No it doesn't. For you to get an L1 visa your prospective US employer has to prove that he could not employ an American citizen with the required specialist skills. The visa is for 5 years only and not extendable. I had to come back to the UK every year.to renew the visa at the US embassy in London. That way, if they refuse to renew it you are already out of the country and can't get back. The only way a Brit can now get to stay in the US is either to be rich like Richard Branson or a controversial twit like Piers Morgan. Sadly, I am neither.

Hey I think you might be on to something there. We could convince the UK they are getting a new citizen that believes alll their anti gun phooey, and wouldn't be a pain in the butt. In return we'd take that rebellious, arguing thorn from their side. Just because we're being good hearted neighbors. :)

That's right. That's why they made these new laws in New York. The Safe Act is working so well, that they intend to make heroin and crack illegal too.

Well guys, I have been laid up for a while with severe bruising. Not because the wife read my posts though - I fell off a ladder while installing a new gun safe in the attic!
After 4 weeks I have regained enough movement to be able to drive. I can cycle my levers ok but can't rack my beloved Winchester '97, so for CAS I am going to have to use one of those horrible coach guns.

late to posting a reply, but my initial reaction when I saw the ad from the OP was the same as when I saw the youtube for the electric pet parakeet. It's a Saturday Night Live skit.

In both cases, truth is creepier and much sadder than satire.
