Price of Unique powder?

Post by mod71alaska »

My LGS (no big sporting stores here) just got in a shipment of Unique powder which he's selling for $21.99 per one pound can. How does this price compare to prices you are finding at your LGS or at the big sporting stores near you?

It's hard as hades to find powder in stock with 100 miles of here. One local guy sells out of his house and he's usually $28.99 lately.

I wish I could pick powder up off a local shelf for 22

That's the current retail here in the Pac NW also. I paid $23, for a pound of 2400, and $34, for a pound of VV N110.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Pre Obama #2 last sept. 8 lbs $100.00 for 2400, unique and bulseye a little cheaper. I also found out that if you have just a C&R license some distributors will sell to you check it out.

in july 2013 ,I paid about $1.00/lb. more than in July 2012. Very little powder at my LGS. Primers have gone up a penny/primer to 5 cents each when they're available.

I just paid $23 for a pound of Unique at a gunshop here in East Texas. They had plenty of everything, but could only buy two boxes of CCI mini mag .22's.

That would be a good price here if you could find it.

I went to 3 shops yesterday and the only pistol powder that I could even find was 1 lbs of 296. It was $19 which seemed pretty cheap to me considering that I could not find any other powder. These days $23 for any pistol powder seems to be a good deal.

I reckon I would be plum tickled to walk in a store here and even see a can of Unique at any price, but that is a very good price for here and now.
