Like the knife, and like the holster it lives in. Do you have any construction photos? Would like to see how that knife came to be..

Thanks for the comments, gents. :) First, let me be clear that I did not forge this blade. I purchased it as a blank from Dixie Gun Works, along with the other component materials from a couple of knife making suppliers. This is the second one of this style I have built. The first was stocked with buffalo horn - this one is stocked with black linen micrata. The tang runs through the one piece micata handle, and the brass pommel is threaded and glued. All metal to metal connections are silver soldered. All told, it took about a week to get all components fitted, shaped, polished and finished up.

DGW sells a ready made, version, BTW, but it was more $$ than I would spend, and it was a bunch more fun to build it myself.

The leather is the result of the combined efforts of myself and a buddy who has a leather sewing machine. He did the heavy lifting and I did the stampings and finish work. The Mexican double loop design matches the gun rig.

That knife looks very much like the one I saw displayed at the Alamo last Sunday. Nice work.

It is indeed. It is a Searles pattern blade.
