Linda and I will have been married 50 years tomorrow.
We are off to hide from everyone.

Picked up a Ruger 96 in .44 magnum. Like new shoots well at 100 yards.

Congrats on your marriage and the 96/44. BUT Don't you know when you runaway it's you and your little red wagon of necessities. Hope the getaway is enjoyable for the both of you.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I love the way you can let us know about a big anniversary and immediately after , say -- oh yeah, got a sweet 96/44 too!
This board is the best ---- I hope I am around in 38 more years to celebrate a 50th with my wife -- and that i'll still have the presence of mind to pick up a sweet new shooter in the same time frame !
