Any of you guys have a Bryant brand HVAC system?
If so, what do you think of them.
I’m about to pull the trigger on a new home system.
The units I’m looking to go with:
Bryant Evolution Series 97% Fully Modulating Model 987M
High Efficient Gas Furnace With A 2 Ton 17 Seer 2-Stage Puron
Air Conditioning System.
My brain keeps screaming...
'Man I sure could buy a real nice old Parker for what this is
going to cost'
Bryant Brand HVAC System ??

Bryant has been a solid "name brand" for a long time, right along with Trane.
Without knowing your specifics (99% of the time people undersize their HVAC/furnace) I'd say it's a good system especially if you already have ductwork in place.
Now... on the flip side... have you looked at/sized "Mini-Split" systems? They are invariably less expensive to run...

You live in York PA and you are not looking at York A/C?
Seems a little ironic.
But Bryant has been a well made BRAND name for many, many years.
Used to be made in a local factory here with Payne, Day & Night and some Carrier models.

I'm too stubborn to have anything in my house I can't repair or replace myself (and too dumb to fix a modern HVAC system ).
I think it comes from years as a kid watching repairmen rip off my widowed mother.

Well it is to the point now with many many items that you can't fix them yourself.
ANY and ALL A/C Heating systems, TV, stoves and ovens all have a computer boards in them today.
And you better not buy a new car either.
Forget it, they are unfixable without specialized equipment and at least an associates degree.

I'd recommend Trane. The last house I owned I replaced the old system with a Trane 92 + (I believe that's what it was) and a 16 Seer AC (this was back in 2005 when the nominal building code called for Seer of 10).
By the way, everything today is computer controlled. Those old days of simple to fix furnaces are long gone.

Just had a Bryant Evolution heat pump system installed in our new addition..also tied in ducting in original house..fired up in early June, just as the summer heat was getting started..total electric system with heating elements (three) to incrementally kick in as extreme cold warrants..so far, love the AC..will tell you more 'bout April or May. Harley Davidson's are made here in York as well.
I don't have one of those anymore.
Found out real quick how big of a money pit they are.
