Ga hunting

Post by wolfdog »

Finally got a chance to go up to my friend Bob's place in SW Ga last week. Took a 130lb spike with the #3 45/70 at about 80 yards on Monday. It went about 50 yards after the shot. Tuesday went walking with the Savage model 99 in 300 Savage. Jumped 2 deer shot the bigger one at about 50 yards. It went about 40 yards. Friday this one stepped out at about 120 yards. Ruger #1 30.06 in the neck dropped him right there.

Congrats Wolfdog. Where in SW Georgia do you hunt? The lease that I hunt on is just outside Georgetown in Quitman county.

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.

West of Cuthbert, probably within 10 miles of you. I am in Randolf county though.
